No matter who you are or where you're from, we're so glad that you're checking us out online and hope to see you soon in person!
Every church is unqiue, so take a few minutes to get to know what you can expect when you worship at SPX.
Where should I go when I arrive?
When you pull onto our campus, you'll find parking in front of and behind the church. It's a big circle, so you'll always be able to find your way back to the front doors of the church. For security reasons, our backed doors are not open at this time. Our Greeters will be ready to welcome you and help you find your way. If you have any questions while you're with us, stop by the Info Desk or ask anyone wearing a nametag or lanyard - we're ready to help!
What can I expect at Mass?
Each of our Masses is about an hour. Dressing up is not a requirement to worship with us at SPX. Some people do wear their “Sunday best” but you’re also likely to see someone in slacks and a casual shirt, or even jeans. To help the entire assembly fully participate in the Mass, we project the lyrics to the songs and all of the prayed responses onto screens at the front of the sanctuary. For the homily, our messages are part of a series. Series are how to tackle a theme for a few weeks at at time as a whole community. Check out our current series to see what we're talking about now HERE.
What do you offer for kids?
Kids in Kindergarten through grade 5 are invited to go to SLAM, our Children's Liturgy of the World. For SLAM, kids are dismissed from the sanctuary at the beginning of Mass to worship in an environment created just for them. They return during the Preparation of the Gifts.
KidMin, our religious education program, provides those in Kindergarten through Grade 5 with the change to hear an age-appropriate message and then discuss it in small groups so that they come to know Jesus in a personal way.
While we hope that you'll join us regularly at SPX, we know that our Mass times won't work for everyone. Perhaps you need a Sunday evening Mass, or maybe you'd like a Mass where sign language interpretation is provided. To assist you in finding a place to worship that best suits your needs, we've compiled a listing of area Mass & Reconciliation times for you - click the button to the right to check it out.
