Becoming Catholic, Jr

For the first year,children are placed in a small group with others of the same grade as part of our KidMin program. KidMin meets on Sundays from 9:45 – 11:15 am from September through May.   The 2nd year, their participation continues and they receive additional instruction where they dive more fully into the teachings of the Church and are also specifically prepared to receive the Sacraments of Baptism (if necessary), Reconciliation and First Communion. Classes meet on select Sundays from September through May.  

For our older students there are two main components to the program. First, they will attend either MSM or HSM depending on their grade level. MSM, or Middle School Ministry, is for those in grades 6 – 8 and meets on Tuesday nights from 7 – 8:15 pm September – May. HSM, or High School Ministry, is for those in grades 9 – 12 and meets once monthly on Sunday September – May.  Second, there is a casual classroom experience where they dive deeper into what the Church teaches and are also specifically prepared to receive the Sacraments of Baptism (if necessary), Reconciliation and First Communion. Classes meet on Sundays from September through May.
